Today is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day and the Mahopac CSD recognizes its School Resource Officers and School Special Patrol Officers along with our security staff from Briger Security. They are superb role models and keep students and staff safe every day.

February's Regular Board of Education Meeting and Public Hearing on Tax Exemptions has been rescheduled from February 13th, 2024 to February 15th, 2024.

Mahopac High School's Interact Club, in collaboration with with the Lake Mahopac Rotary Club, concluded their winter coat drive after months of work. The Mahopac community came together to contribute over 500 winter coats to those who need them. Thank you to everyone who donated!
Congratulations to Lakeview student Alicja Caffery for being recognized by Storyworks Magazine as one of only five nationwide winners of the Frozen Earth Essay Contest. Caffery was surprised with a special assembly where she was honored by her peers, Lakeview staff, and parents.
This week, Mahopac recognizes the unique contribution of school counselors to students' education and development. Mahopac's Counseling Department is a constant, reliable, and positive presence in our students' lives throughout their years at Mahopac Schools.

Mahopac's students have been learning about Martin Luther King Jr. ahead of MLK Day. King's words and actions echo even today and students have been honoring his fight against injustice through murals, activities, and by sharing dreams of their own.
