High School Illusion Concert

The year’s most electrifying event is just around the corner. Auditions are over, rehearsals are underway, and “Illusion” – Mahopac’s 42nd annual student rock and pop show – is set to deliver an unforgettable night of live music, featuring talented student musicians, sound and lighting crew. The concert, which is scheduled for Dec. 12-14, will be filled with high-energy rock anthems, catchy pop hits and a range of unforgettable performances.

Mahopac High School senior and “Illusion” performer Peyton Swoap expressed her enthusiasm for the show.

“This is my third year participating in ‘Illusion’ and it is always a positive, fun time,” Swoap said. “You have a lot of talented people on stage sharing their passion for music, and there is an incredibly supportive energy from all the students and the community. The show has a great vibe overall and people come back night after night.”

“Illusion” director and Mahopac audio and video production teacher Stas Przymylski shared what concertgoers can expect from this year’s concert.

“Whether you’re a fan of classic rock, nineties alternative or current pop, this concert will have something for everyone in the family,” Przymylski said. “It’s not just about the music. You can expect a truly immersive performance with full-on concert lighting and sound. We are excited to showcase all the incredible student talent here at Mahopac High School.”

In lieu of ticket sales, the Mahopac Central School District asks that concert attendees either make a donation at the show to Relay for Life, supporting the American Cancer Society, or bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
