The Middle School’s Flexible Support Program (FSP) coordinated a special schoolwide effort to give festive Thanksgiving food baskets to 10 Mahopac families selected by clinicians and school counselors. Food donations were collected from students attending Middle School dances as well as from staff members and the PTO, and the baskets were assembled by school social worker Kellie Rivera, teaching assistant Emilia Monzon and students who participate in the program.
“I am thrilled that we were able to bring back this important tradition,” Middle School Principal Tom Cozzocrea said. “Ms. Rivera and Ms. Monzon did an excellent job of spearheading the effort.”
FSP’s mission is to support students with emotional regulation and appropriate response to stress-related issues while navigating life in Middle School.
