Fulmar Road Elementary School kindergartners gathered in their school cafeteria on Nov. 22 to enjoy a Friendsgiving feast. Friendsgiving is an annual event where all the kindergartners gather to celebrate friendship. Each child contributed a food item to the feast and they all enjoyed a special snack prepared for the whole grade.
“The children have made so many new friends since starting school in September,” Fulmar Road kindergarten teacher Megan Shea said. “Friendsgiving is a wonderful way for us to recognize and celebrate these special friendships.”
Leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, students learned about gratitude and wore crowns they designed to represent the things they are thankful for. At the conclusion of the celebration, the students and staff joined together for a fun and lively turkey dance, known as the Turkey Wobble.
