On a picture-perfect autumn day Fulmar Road first graders had a wonderful time visiting Muscoot Farm in Katonah, New York. Students took a hayride and toured the grounds of the farm, but the highlight of the field trip was getting to visit all the animals and learning interesting facts about them.
“This field trip ties nicely into our current writing unit on small moments and narrative writing,” Fulmar Road teacher Olivia Simeone said. “In this unit, students write about a personal experience, and our field trip to Muscoot Farm helped students generate creative ideas for their writing pieces.”
